Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t this be a prime opportunity for the U.S. Government to purchase Yahoo!, put their eventual U.S. CTO in charge of it and transition it into the ‘digital government portal’ that Obama is looking for?

A Remarkable Day
This morning at approximately 6:10 a.m.-ish EST, after standing in line in the rain for about 45 minutes, I cast my vote for the President of the United States of America.
What’s remarkable about that is the fact that I am a 38-year-old white male born and raised in Virginia, the cradle of the Confederacy and home to many slaves prior to Emancipation by President Lincoln.
Even as I grew up...
CNN is calling Virginia for Obama. I just cheered aloud in my living room and burst into tears.
Starting to feel like we’re taking the first breath of fresh air after being smothered by the weight of 8 years of disappointment and shame.
Cue the Fat Lady. #election
Beautiful Election Fact: Richmond, VA, once the Capital of the Confederacy, overwhelmingly voted for the first Black American for President.
According to NYTimes, w/ 86.4% reporting, Obama has moved ahead in Virginia by nearly 30K votes. #election
Holy Christ - McCain just DOESN’T GET IT! It’s not an African-American thing! This. Is. Why. He. Lost. #duh #election
That Obama won Virginia holds a great deal more symbolism for me than his being elected President — but that last part is awesome, too!

In line to vote. To my surprise, about 30 or so people beat me to the line. Rainy (but thankfully not cold) morning.

My vote is in! Stood in line for about 45 minutes. I was no.32 in line, and there were at least 400 people lined up in the rain by 6 a.m.
