Well, since you asked for it:
I decided weeks ago to stop having discussions in tumblr, because my primary use for tumblr is as a blog, not as a discussion group. To me, the dashboard is a handy way to keep up with what my friends are up to, but I’ve always found the ‘reblog as discussion’ trend very clunky and awkward. That’s why I installed the Disqus comment system on...

I’d love to respond to that, but I’m done with using tumblr reblogs as a discussion thread (which is why I’ve started using disqus and swurl), since it’s disruptive to other followers’ dashboards.
So instead, let me leave you with this related development.

LazyTumbl: Flagging Twitter Imports in Tumblr
I’ve been looking for a way to mark my Twitter imports into Tumblr with some sort of flag. The tumblr dashboard will mark them (see below), but I’d like a way for readers outside of the tumblr community to be able to discern imported content from native tumblr content.
Any suggestions would be most welcome and most appreciated!

Hot on the heels of the hilarious Mojave Experiment comes Microsoft’s latest attempt to snip at Apple’s heels.
This time, they’re throwing lots of money at Jerry Seinfeld (the guy who had a Mac on his TV desk for 9 years) to be the pitchman, and they’re using (…wait for it…) TWBA/Chiat/Day — Apple’s long-time ad agency (edit: information in linked...

I fell for it.
Probably because, like everyone else, I really wanted to believe it was true.
Maybe I should be grateful that I still have that child-like sense of wonder, even if only a little bit.

So, I’ve been extremely enthusiastic about the upcoming Watchmen movie, as I may have mentioned a couple of times on this blog.
Now it appears that Fox is claiming they hold some sort of rights to the material.
Whether or not they actually do is beside the point. They know (like the rest of the world, and probably a while before) that this movie has been in production for about a year now....
Oh, this oughta be good…a Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget!
GAH! I’m trying to sell on eBay for the first time in a couple of years — WTF happened to copypasta HTML posting?!?!
Just got back from seeing Hellboy 2 for the 2nd time. Great flick — visually stunning!

OK…(bob saget roast) WTF is Norm MacDonald doing? He’s either going conceptual, retarded, or he’s high out of his mind.
Random Thoughts
It’s almost 5 a.m. and I sit at the computer, with several things running randomly through my head:
I’m more interested in the Bigfoot find/hoax than I am in the Olympics. That says something about me, but I’m not sure what — other than I don’t really care much for sports.
I came to the computer about 45 minutes to search IMDB for Black Adder, which I only just now...

A game developer named Cliff Harris was curious about why people pirate software. So he went to places where they’re likely to hang out and asked for their feedback.
And guess what? He got LOADS of it. And he learned from it.

The Consumerist often features horror stories and customer complaints about various companies, and Apple is no exception. This article, on the other hand, mentions a ‘Surprise and Delight’ moment for one customer.
