Having to download instructions for Alpha Rex (http://tr.im/i4eK), which curiously was not included in the Mindstorms NXT box set. #wtf
Just got back from Monsters vs. Aliens 3D. Movie was OK, w/ some brilliant moments. Quote of the movie: (exclamation): “By Hawking’s chair!”

Getting kids ready for school (aka: Battle for the Bus). So far, so good…
Ugh. Up after about 3.5 hours’ sleep. Gonna be a long day (at least, it’ll FEEL like a long day…)
Just saw a great high school production of “Guys & Dolls” - http://bkite.com/05YIg
Made it to Staunton in one piece. Fog on Afton Mountain was freakin’ scary, though! - Photo: http://bkite.com/05Ycg
About to make like Willie Nelson and get On The Road Again…

Cool new key-shaped LaCie USB flash drives
LaCie has released some impressive (both in looks and functionality) key-shaped USB flash drives in 4GB and 8GB capacities.
I’m not sure what the differences are between the (physically) smaller iamaKey and the (physically) larger itsaKey, but there’s a bit of a price disparity between them, as well. The PassKey is a neat way to re-use MicroSD cards as USB flash drives, which...
This weekend. Hope I don’t forget!

Dangit. Stayed up all night; slept too late. No time to see doctor today. I’ll have another go at it next week.
Olde English (Essay)
Holy Jeebus…while cleaning the house, I just ran across an English vocabulary essay that I wrote in 11th grade! This is dated 3/29/87, and is based on the unfinished novella Billy Budd by Herman Melville (Thank You, Mrs. Dougherty, for not making us read Moby Dick!)
As I recall, the point of the essay was to correctly use as many of that week’s vocabulary words as possible within the...
I love running across stuff like this -> http://tr.im/hRvl
Beginning my weekend with a new-found sense of malaise. :^\
THE. COOLEST. tiled pattern generator I have seen! (Just found it again after forgetting the URL) -> http://tr.im/hPaZ
Oh, man. I have to remember to watch this on Sunday: Family Guy ST:TNG Episode -> http://tr.im/hP9T (via @ipond317)
(well, maybe not so much ‘generator’ as ‘modifier’…but still…the variations are nearly infinitely customizable).
Well, maybe THIS ONE -> http://tr.im/hPbg <- is actually the coolest, since it has patterncooler, plus many others.
Of course, the tooth fairy just responded with a calming, reassuring letter back, which she will see in the morning. ;^)
Heart breaking a little for my l’il girl. Just wrote a frantic ltr 2 the tooth fairy b/c she’s terrified of having 2 teeth pulled next week.
Sleep would be nice. Came up with some ideas for the webcomic for later on. Gonna try to have a nap before sunrise.
Off to work. Long day. Looking forward to coming home in about 12 hours. (GAH!)
About to haul 2 older iMacs into work for transfer of ownership (thanks, Czaja!)
Dammit…I have ZERO willpower. Unquenchable sweet tooth sent me to Walgreen’s for fruity-flavored candy. (Jellybeans and Swedish Fish).
I may end up just using twhirl, or maybe a different app for each account, since I’ve got Tweetie covering it on the iPhone.
Looking 4 a good desktop multi-account Twitter client. So far I’ve found twhirl (Adobe Air) & Tweetie (iPhone). Any suggestions?
me: fine…I’ll just export it and upload to YouTube myself. / iMovie ‘09: Yeah, that’s what YOU think! / me: DAMMIT!
Wondering why my iMovie ‘09 export to YouTube disappeared into the æther. Twice. Grr.
Starting to sing road songs, pretending I’m with @tovias and @tcampbell1000 on the journey to #neww. <la-la-LAAAAAA>
Billy Mays is yelling at me to buy stuff again.
Seriously considering gastric bypass surgery after talking to knees, feet, heart, lungs.
Been installing WinXP on this iMac for the past 3.5 hours. Whenever I touch this OS I’m reminded why I use a Mac.
Guh. Can’t stay awake any longer. Must. Sleep. Now.
Spent the evening surrounded by tech: restoring old iMacs, installing WinXP on a newer iMac, and watching iPhone 3.0 preview event. Nerd ++
Well, Angela and the kids finally got home. Should’ve known…Spring school pix are Wed., she took them clothes shopping.
Sci-Fi channel rebranding as ‘Syfy’ — the DUMBEST thing I’ve seen in quite some time. Way to alienate your core demo. http://tr.im/hrHT
Been home for about an hour now. Angela forgot her iPhone. Wondering where my family might be….
Watching SNL. Thinking of @cduggan13 watching Kelly Clarkson performing.
to all those at #sxsw — is there much there for a general (read: non-web developer) geek there? I’m really thinking about going next year.
Grooming my littlest geek — watching ESB after he played thru the LEGO SW chapter on the Wii. Classic SW FTW!
Just posted at Jerry’s Artarama. Let’s see if this helps spread the word. http://twitpic.com/236pi (via @waywrdtoonist)
